On march 22,2006,Russian President Vladimir putin visited the Shaolin Temple,accompanied by Henan Provincial Secretary Xu Guangchun and Governor Li Chengyu.He was warmly welcom by the Abbot,General Drillmaster and other monks.President Putin said:”I have a good impresses on the Shaolin Temple.These warrior monks are so painstaking and handworking and they have so good martial arts.Their kungfu impresses on me very deeply.So good tredition of Chinese martial arts inherited by shaolin monks has meaning not only for Chinese people,but also for the whole world’s people.”
